The Visiting Student Research Internship Program

About the Program

The Visiting Student Research Internship Program, offered by King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (Saudi Arabia), is an opportunity for exceptionally qualified international baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate students to conduct research with faculty mentors in selected areas of basic and applied research projects. The duration of the program ranges from between three and six months, depending on the research project. Arrival date must be a minimum of 6 weeks after date of submission. 

We are currently accepting applications for internships starting from January 2020 onward.

Eligible applicants:
  • Third year baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate students
  • research areas: basic and applied research
  • TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.0 at minimum
  • GPA 3.5/4 pr 14/20 (ECTSB)
  • Must be chosen by KAUST professors
 
Applications package
  • Official transcript from current institutions
  • Recommendation letter
  • Valid Passport

KAUST VSRP visiting students will receive the following:

    • Monthly living allowance ( $1000 )
    • Round-trip airfare to/from city of departure-Jeddah (KAUST)
    • Health insurance
    • Private bedroom and bath in a shared residential suite
    • Visa fees (Students must have valid passport)
    • Access to community recreational resources
    • Social and cultural activities
