Becoming a Student at IU for One Day

On December 3rd and 4th, the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, International University—Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, welcomed students from Tran Dai Nghia High School (HCMC), Nguyen Trai High School, and Tran Bien High School (Bien Hoa and Dong Nai).

Within the framework of enrollment activities, International University creates favorable conditions for high schools to visit facilities and experience “becoming a student at IU for one day”, as well as providing advice and guidance, preparing the students carefully for the national graduation exam, and confidently choosing their major.

Joining the students at the laboratory of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering is a team of lecturers, including:
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam K. Huynh – Dean of Faculty
Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy – Vice Dean of Faculty
Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoang Hai – Lecturer
Dr. Vu Bao Khanh – Lecturer
Dr. Phung Thanh Khoa – Lecturer
Together with the TA team, they help students to understand more about the faculty . Moreover, the students also had the opportunity to do interesting experiments in 2 fields of Chemistry and Environment, this is a form of practical career orientation, helping students have an overview of the engineer program

The tour came to an end with students receiving delicate gifts from the school. Hopefully through this activity, they will be in touch and gradually get used to the future environment that they will study in. At the same time, they have a better understanding of the majors that they love, the training program as well as the job orientation for the future.
